During my testing, I started with the anti-copy protection. As I mentioned above, I was able to copy files, but when I tried to paste them somewhere the "Paste" button was unavailable. The feature seemed to work, though. I was told that I had to log-off for changes to take effect, but that wasn't necessary. The other feature that I tried was the Anti-Run one, which I take it prevents applications from being launched. I added one of the apps that I had on my desktop and activated the feature, but I was still able to run it by double-clicking on the icon. Then I logged off, just to be sure, but I still had access to it.

I have used Echo 3.5 to clone an HP WD Blue 1TB HD to as 1TB SanDisk SSD.I was initially trying to boot to a SSD installed in a PCIe card. And I had difficulties. I finally determined the PCIe would not work, and I tried to boot that same cloned copy via SATA... it failed and I was not a happy camper. During these efforts I had a number of exchanges with NTI's support. Even though I wrote one rather blunt (but courteous) email, Support continued to be helpful. In the end, I did what Echo's advertisements say to do... I did a clean "one to one" clone, removed the original systems disk and booted to my SanDisk SSD, without any intervening efforts with the PCIe board. It Worked. JOY! The software is EASY to use. Each restart will cause thespecial variable MAKE_RESTARTS to be updated (see Special Variables).
If you know that one or more of your makefiles cannot be remade andyou want to keep make from performing an implicit rule searchon them, perhaps for efficiency reasons, you can use any normal methodof preventing implicit rule look-up to do so. For example, you canwrite an explicit rule with the makefile as the target, and an emptyrecipe (see Using Empty Recipes).
If the makefiles specify a double-colon rule to remake a file with a recipebut no prerequisites, that file will always be remade (see Double-Colon).In the case of makefiles, a makefile that has a double-colon rule with arecipe but no prerequisites will be remade every time make is run, andthen again after make starts over and reads the makefiles in again.This would cause an infinite loop: make would constantly remake themakefile and restart, and never do anything else.
