Before you rebuild the Office database, make sure the problem isn't the result of a damaged or fragmented hard disk. To do so, run a disk diagnostics and repair application, such as Apple Disk Utility. If you have installed Visual studio community along with Unity editor using Unity Hub then you can see that your Visual studio editor has autocomplete/IntelliSence enabled by default. That is, you will be able to see all Unity functions as you type. But if you have installed Visual studio code then you might not see the autocomplete in the editor.
If you run the setup wizard in Android studio before opening up Visual Studio for your first time, Visual studio will automatically fill in the location paths of your SDK that was installed during the Android Studio setup wizard.
Edit: Found the culprit, it was Microsoft Intune Endpoint Protection that was installed on my pc. It basically scanned everything and when visual studio got updated and files were written to the disk, something went wrong and corrupted my install. I turned it off by excluding C:* from being scanned and ran VS2013.5 update and clicked repair. Everything is fine now.
well. I reinstalled unity and deleted visualstudio (just in case) and it worked. After 4 days the same thing happened. How can i fix this? I don't want to reinstal unity again and the same with visual studio.
The issues could be directly related to SSMS installation or other dependency components. In rare cases, your Microsoft SQL management studio installation files are corrupted, and they require a repair or re-installation.
The SSMS repair works in most situations because it basically uninstalls the old files and re-installs them. Repairing SSMS is the first thing you must perform to address issues such as crashing or abruptly closing of studio application.
I've been having the same problem and mine is about 4 years old too. It all began after an update months ago and i haven't found a solution. I went to a local mobile device repair place and changed the battery this week ($120!! not the $500 apple price tag...shop around, many of the local places back their work and do a great job!) All this to say, I'm still having the same problem and the fan was constantly running with NOTHING OPEN! So frustrating. This is the first board I've seen where someone is having the same issues...what do we need to do about it?
When I first upgraded the virtual machine and installed the drivers, the mouse went crazy, but I was able to do a Mac-menu shutdown (it did NOT require a forced shutdown). Then shutdown and re-start Fusion, followed by reboot and re-install (repair) the VMware drivers. After that it was usable, but still a bit slower.
Some people mention they repaired the VMware Tools setup using the "repair" option, I sound a bit like a broken record now as I have said it many times before, but for the sake of having an additional troubleshooting step and knowing that repair isn't the same as a full blown uninstall/reinstall (even while it should be) 2ff7e9595c
